Hi,
I haven't been able to find any guidance in EE 4th edition regarding the typing of reference notes. I can see in the models that they are to be indented, but I'd like to edit the indentations in my WORD template to indent them correctly. How many spaces am I to indent the reference number and reference? Can someone please explain how I would do that in WORD?

Colleen, Evidence Style does not dictate fonts, font sizes, margins, leading, or the number of spaces (more precisely in Word, the fraction of an inch) that is used for various types of indentations. Typographical style issues are matters of choice. If you are editing a journal, in any field, that journal will have its typographical style that dictates such measures. But citation guides or research manuals such as EE do not dictate typography.
As a researcher, your work will be judged on the completeness of your research, the quality of the sources you rely upon, and your skill at correlating information and analyzing evidence. You'll be judged on whether your writing is clear. But your skill as a genealogist or historian is not judged on how you format text.
