Online images of New England vital records

EE 9.43 has examples of CD/DVD images and microfilm but not online images.  The New England Historic Genealogical Society's americanancestors.org Web site provides images of the original records in their Maassachuestts Vital Records, 1841-1910 database that includes a Rehoboth death record that I have in my data.  How will this citation differ from the examples given?

Jim, given the vast array of resources available to researchers and the number of media in which these materials are presented, it's not possible for EE to present every record type in every available format. On 9/11/2012 Russ W. raised a similar issue regarding newspaper research. EE's advice there applies here, as well: Material that originated in one form but is now offered in a different form create a multilayered citation. We can mix-and-match the layers from various models to create what we need.

In your case, 9.42 offers models for "Online Databases & Images," while 9.43 offers examples for CD/DVD and microfilm. Similarly, 9.46 covers CDs and microfilm using Canadian examples, while 9.47 covers online databases using other Canadian examples. 9.48 offers both types for England. &c &c &c.

Certainly, when working New England's records, we are wise to study all the advice we can find about the nature and structure of those records. However, in seeking a citation model, we do not have to limit ourselves to one that treats the same exact source.
