I am writing a family history and I'm including my grandchildren. I don't have a copy of their birth certificates but was actually present at their births. What is the correct way of citing this?
I hope this won't come across as a stupid question, but I have a document that is not quite fitting into a citation format. It is a Certified Copy of an Entry of Marriage. My father was married to his first wife in 1943. It was a civil ceremony. The record is a vital record of marriage, but not a parish marriage certificate as was issued in a church. The marriage was solomnized in The Registry Office for the Maidstone Registry District in Kent County.

I was hoping to obtain clarification about sourcing the GRS - Descendants Database on the dar.org website. I am finding conflicting information between "Citing, Quoting and Reproducing DAR Sources PDF that is available on the dar.org site and EE. It seems that DAR is stating to use the term Genealogical Research System (spelled out) and is italized where EE 4.20 pg. 196 has DAR Library italized. Also, in addition to listing the entry for the relative that I am sourcing for, would you also cite the member name and National ID# for the descendant?
This is my full reference note for a death notice found in a newspaper:

Does anyone use permalinks in citations? Most record images viewed online from FamilySearch have an associated permanent URL (the link that they include in their citations). Even Ancestry.com has relatively short URLs that will bring you to the exact image.
I really like the idea of using these links because there have been times when a client comes back for new research, and I can very quickly pull up relevant records.

I searched the forums for Facebook but all I could find was information about citing a Facebook post. Lets say I am posting information, a section or part of my research on Facebook. The paragraph has several citations for the facts. How do you add a citation in a Facebook post? Do you add the citations at the end of the post? Add a link if the information can be found online? What about facts not found online?

I have a published book that is a family tree and stories of a branch of my family. It was compiled and published by a committee who collected information from various branches of the family. None of the information has been 'sourced' or 'cited' in the book. Although some sources can be infured as acknowledgement is given to some people and repositories for their assistance. Information in the book has been collected from personal knowledge of family members. Not all 'chapters' have an individual listed as responsible for collecting and collating the data for the publication.
I have recently been purchasing images from the https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ website, and feel pretty comfortable with EE 9.56 for citing images from the statutory registers.
However with the OPR's, I am a little confused. To clarify, I am wanting to cite 'images' and not the database.
