Citing personal copy of Hungarian Identification Papers

John Esslinger's 1907 government issued identification papers for immigration to the United States are in my possession. Written in Hungarian, names use last name - first name format. Papers were issued by the clerk "Hübner Simon" [Simon Hübner] in Csakova on 15 Mar 1907. Information documented on the paper are:

  • certificate #843 of the Royal Tax Office of Csakova
  • issue date 15 Mar 1907
  • John and his parents' names in Hungarian last name first format and spelling - Eszlinger János, Eszlinger Niklós, and Koch Katalin
  • John's date of birth February 25, 1861
  • official's name Hliber Gorney?

I am thinking that a Private Holding "Legal document, unrecorded" format would be appropriate, e.g.:

John Esslinger's Hungarian Identification Papers, 15 Mar 1907, original, family copy, Johnson Family Papers; privately held by Katherine MJ Swanson, Mendota Heights, Minnesota, 2025.

Please advise

Yes, kmjswanson. That works. All you need to add is the identity of the office that issued it (an important who question) and the date it was issued (an important when question).  If you have EE's 4th edition, use Template 7 for the sequence of details.
